A Step Closer...

Yes, a step closer to the crazy images in my brain. With luck, you will be spared the actual images dancing in my head... they're a bit scary, even to me. But, hopefully, these new BioBangles will be received positively. I'm calling this style of BioBangle "Tree Fungus", which is better than "Slime Mold", which is what the bangle above reminds me of. For those who prefer less... um... earthy jewelry, perhaps the bangle below will be more appealing...

Oh, and no jokes about "fungus among us."

Hmmm. Maybe "Wood Fungi" would sound less... um... fungusy... ish.

*goes back to her thesaurus*

Oh my! Such wonderful words from three of my favorite people! Thank you guys, your words mean so much to me.

I guess this means I should keep on exploring this thing... not that I have much choice... my muse is being relentless!

Hey, Betsy and Susan! Thanks soooo much for your very kind word!

Betsy, I'm a step ahead of you (for once)... but you wont see them on Trunkt just yet... after uploading them yesterday, I realized they needed a photo of the edge, so I did an edit and they are awaiting "approval".

Careful, Susan... socks have a way wandering off... ;P lol

Your bangles remind me more of some kind of undersea life -- like the undulation of a sea slug or a manta ray or something... maybe you can find an appealing name under water! (I tend to think both slime and fungus are not great marketing words -- slug, either!) But the BRACELETS are cool!

Score another big hit for (creative) evolution! I can't wait to see what new forms develop from your original BioBangle "species."

wow. WOW. WOW!!
these new bangles are simply gorgeous, Melanie. And we should have seen it coming. Your underwater research into color and form was obviously a great period of "percolation".
I humbly suggest you be a little less literal with your names though. They are too beautiful to be named after mushrooms. I'll bet your friends/fans could come up with some great names.
anyway - wow. I sure am glad I took some time off this morning to check the blogosphere.

These BioBangles are delightful and gorgeous.

As for the names? *grin* People will either love them or hate them. Fungus? Slugs?!? Perhaps you could offer a 'naming contest'...

Not that I have anything to offer. They remind me somewhat of fringe, or fish gills, or some entirely new creature.

No matter what, they are gorgeous.
