PC + PMC = FUN

Yes, I know, at last... some of my own work. I'm finally back from toooo many holiday events. Phew... and to celebrate the coming new year, I share with you a few of bracelets I made recently.

I've been having a blast combining PMC with polymer clay recently. I just wish PMC was a little cheaper. But then, it wouldn't be fine silver if it were. More new work coming soon!

These are gorgeous, Melanie!!! When I was "dabbling" in PMC I found a great website with the best prices....they were in Tucson but I don't remember the name. I quit because I didn't have a kiln and was using a Hotpot. It worked fine for awhile but was sort of scary (!) and started to malfunction.
I can't wait to see more!

Hi Susan! Thanks so much for stopping by, and thanks for your very kind words. :)

Yeah, I had a hot pot for a while... but I could only make flat pieces, and it didn't always fire my pieces completely (as in, pieces would break after firing).

I personally think my new kiln is pretty scary. *shivers* I mean, temps up to 1500 degrees F?!?! Yikes! I put off using it until I have a huge collection of pieces to fire... in part to save power, and in part to avoid turning it on. lol!

Oh, and Happy New Year, Susan!

Oh, I love the green one - my kind of colors!

I want to get back into doing more PMC, but the box of supplies is shoved behind a lot of clay supplies that will be a pain to move. Man, do I ever need a nice, organized studio! The dining room table isn't cutting it lately ;-)

I use a hot pot myself, but really have only done small pieces - mostly earring parts and charms.

Hi Lisa, you funny lady! I'm glad you like the green one - it's my favorite too. ;)

I had to laugh at you not getting to the hot pot because of too much "stuff" in the way... I have a huge studio (15' x 20') and I STILL can't find anything! Ach!

Hey, are you going to the Southern New Jersey Guild retreat this month? I should be there by mid day on Monday. I hope I'll see you there!!

Yes, I'll be there (I can hardly wait!) although I'll be gone by midday Monday. I have to get back to get the kiddos to school on Tuesday.

Maybe we'll cross briefly and get to say hi :-)
