A Sampling Of Things To Come

When we made the decision to adopt Tango, I also made a decision to take the month of August off from my studio work... But that doesn't mean I haven't been working. As I think I might have mentioned before, Joyce Miskowitz and I have started a silk screen business on Etsy. I make the patterns, and Joyce makes the screens (I'm thinking I have the better deal here).

So, whenever my *coughnotsocough* little Tango is taking his puppy naps, I grab my laptop and get workin'. I wanted to share a few very complicated, multi screen patterns I've been working on.Each color of the pattern has a separate screen, with registration marks in the corners to help align them. The pattern above has four screens...

Most of the multi screen patterns are adapted from antique fabric patterns I found in books from the library.

These aren't up on our shop yet 'cause I haven't gotten the "negatives" to Joyce, but I'm guessing they should be up within the week... Tango willing.

I've been thinking of trying silk screening and these have inspired me. (I especially like the leaf/flower design.). I'll check back for the Etsy seller's info.

I'm so glad you like them, Guadalupe! They really are so much fun to use... and use and use! ;)

Hi Lorraine! I think you will really enjoy using these... And if you can't find what you are looking for, stay tuned because I have a collection of hundreds of patterns... I just have to get them up on our shop (and get the "negatives" to Joyce).

Wow how great! I just sent you an email saying nothing is happening on your blog... think my browsers reload function does not work properly: it is great to see your work!
Big hugs!
