Of Nudibranchs and Octopusi-es-iz...

So, while my muse has been busily trying to figure out how to manifest the Cuthona sibogae nudibranch into BioBangle form (and not have it fall apart on the first wearing), I've been busy working on the Blue Ringed Octopus (yes, my Muse lets me work on my own, but only when she has her back turned). So... I present to you the Blue Ringed Octopus Biobangle!

Hey, I warned you that the images in my head were pretty wild... and I haven't even touched the surface of what my Muse has in store for me. (Does anyone know how to reign in one's Muse?) Oh, and my apologies for the less than stellar photographs. This wicked cold I've had for TWO WEEKS *cough, cough* doesn't allow much energy to stand and get the lighting just right. I hope, however, that you can see enough detail in the photos to get the general idea.

I don't know if there is anyone out there who would dare to wear this thing... but I just had to give it a try. I kind of like it, in a warped sort of way. Unfortunately, my "big German hands" (as my grandmother, from whom I inherited them, would call them) do not fit inside this dainty *cough* bangle. So... this bangle will join the others in my new (and under construction) catalog. *soundtrack of crowd cheering wildly* *cough*

And now for something completely different.

Bad news for those of you who have been (very appreciated) customers of my print screens. As of yesterday, I am no longer selling them. *gasp heard around the world* Yes, all good things must come to pass, as they say. Due to a HUGE price increase in PhotoEZ (as in, they are not selling the stuff in bulk anymore), and due to not really having the time or energy to make them, I am no longer (at least for now) selling my print screens. The good news is, I am still selling bracelet blanks and transfer sheets.

O.k. gang, that's it for now. There will be some more good news down the pike (at least for me). So stay tuned.

I LOVE this thing! And big honkin' bracelets are in all the fashion magazines now. Yours are gorgeous. All you'd need is one hanging off the arm of a 'celebrity'.. and they would be seen by the world and snapped up so fast you'd have to charge 12 times the price.

Hello Magik, Mel, Amy, Debbie, Bettina and Le Loup! Many thanks for your kind words... I was a bit nervous showcasing the Blue Ring... It is hard and scary to step into deeper, untread waters (pun intended), but your wonderful feedback is very reassuring.

Oh, and Debbie... you wouldn't know any 'celebrity' that might like one of these bangles "gifted" to them, do you? ;)

Hey, Bettina, can I assume you aren't "speechless" because you are shocked or horrorfide? ;P lol

I love your dainty *cough* bracelet!... What is the point of jewelry if you don't make a statement with it?!

lol! You are very right, Cindy. I know the statements I've wanted to make for years are finally finding a voice... but I also know that my outlook on "life" and "art" is probably in the minority. Heh. So be it. It just feels fantastic to be making it. ;)
